Concern for Others

"For the rest of your life to be as meaningful as possible engage in spiritual practice if you can. It is nothing more than acting out of concern for others. If you practice sincerely and with persistence, little by little, step by step you will gradually reorder your habits and attitudes so as to think less about your own narrow concerns and more about others' - and thereby find peace and happiness yourself."

Dalai Lama

“When every hope is gone, 'when helpers fail and comforts flee,' I find that help arrives somehow, from I know not where. Supplication, worship, prayer are no superstition; they are acts more real than the acts of eating, drinking, sitting or walking. It is no exaggeration to say that they alone are real, all else is unreal.” Mahatma Gandhi

God’s nearness is a rising and falling awareness like trying to tune in to a radio station located in a distant city. It comes in, you catch it for a few moments, then it begins to fade and the static takes over. May you be blessed with clear and constant connectivity to the Divine. Prayables
